Yule River 2025

Yule River 2025 is a gathering that brings together community, culture, and connection on Country. Families, Elders, and young people from across the region came together to witness and to voice their concerns for their communities.

The event was filled with opportunities for Elders, community members and stakeholders to engage in deep conversation and connection with people and Country. Hedland Aboriginal Strong Leaders shared community concerns, priorities and spoke with conviction regarding community led initiatives for the Hedland area.

The day was an acknowledgement of Aboriginal leadership and collaboration. Hosted by YMAC and led by local Aboriginal leaders and supported by organisation committed to cultural preservation and community engagement. Yule River 2025 showcased the strength, resilience, and priorities of the community.

From shared meals on Country to laughter-filled activities over at the playgroup, the event left everyone with a renewed sense of passion and sense of direction. Yule River 2025 reminded us all of the power of coming together to talk, discuss and speak up about the ongoing issues within the Pilbara.

This gathering continues to grow, inspiring new generations and continuing the legacy of those who came before us.
