The Hedland NAIDOC Awards celebrate the remarkable contributions made by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals across 6 categories, including Elder, Culture, Artist, Sports, Youth, and Karlukarlu (community), these awards recognise excellence and honour those who have made a significant impact.
Nomination Categories
Elder: This is an Elder who demonstrates their leadership, and shares their knowledge and Culture.
Culture: This person shows dedication to our Culture through language, song, dance and care for country.
Artist: This local Aboriginal artist should be recognised for their achievements in Hedland.
Sports: This person has excelled in their chosen sport.
Youth: This young person (under 18) has excelled in an area of strength in the community.
Karlukarlu (Community): This person in our community has gone above and beyond to make change.

Fill out the required details, including the nominee’s name, age, gender, phone, email and category, and why you are nominating them.
Submit the form by June 7, 2024
